Ivanka Trump tests negative for coronavirus and goes back to work in the White House

Ivanka Trump went back to work at the White House on Friday, a senior administration official told DailyMail.com, after being tested negative for the coronavirus.

She did not show any symptoms of a disease and called on behalf of the administration to fight the coronavirus while working from home.

The first daughter, who is an advisor to President Donald Trump, was tested late last week and received clear results Friday.

Last week, advisor to President Ivanka Trump followed social distance best practices at her home. On the advice of her doctors, advisor Trump will be working out of the White House today due to lack of symptoms and consistently healthy doctor checkups. As is done with every White House employee, she will undergo the same health / temperature checks to maintain the safety of herself, her children, and those in the White House, ‘the official told DailyMail.com.

Ivanka Trump will be attending President Trump’s meeting with small business officials on Friday afternoon.

While working from home, Ivanka Trump called several congressmen – including Senators Marco Rubio and Susan Collins – and multiple CEOs, including those from CitiBank, Mastercard, Visa, and Goldman Sachs.

Her return is because more of the President’s inner circle was affected by the coronavirus when acting Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney came to Stephanie Grisham to work from home.

It is unclear how many senior White House employees work from home and how many are in the complex after some of them attended dinner last weekend at Mar-a-Lago, which was also attended by Fabio Wajngarten, an assistant to the President from Brazil who tested positive for the disease.

Earlier this week, Grisham did not reply to how many senior employees were working from home, but said the staff followed the Center’s guidelines for disease control and prevention.

“White House employees continue to follow CDC guidelines and the advice of medical personnel to ensure the health and safety of everyone on the complex,” she told DailyMail.com on Tuesday.

Ivanka Trump met with Australian Home Secretary Peter Dutton and Attorney General Bill Barr on March 5 as part of a meeting between officials from the UK, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and the US.

Dutton later tested positive.

The first daughter posted tips for parents who work at home during the coronavirus on Tuesday, indicating that the first daughter continues to isolate herself after coming into contact with an Australian official who tested positive for the disease.

“Staying home with children? Plan a camp in the living room! Throw a sheet over some glued brooms. Plan a menu & ‘grab’ sandwiches, salads (S’mores optional. A fun activity that also brings family together for a meal! “She wrote on her various social media sites, including a photo of her with her two children Arabella and Theodore under a homemade tent.

Her husband, Jared Kushner, senior White House advisor, continued to work at the White House, a senior administrative official affirmed at DailyMail.com.

“As many people as needed in the office,” said the official.

President Counselor Kellyanne Conway also works in the White House.

“I work at the White House and have been without interruption every day. I am in the daily Task Force meetings and sat at the table in the Situation Room yesterday when POTUS and VP spoke to the country’s governors via video conference, ”she told DailyMail.com on Tuesday.

Conway was in a meeting on March 5 with the Australian official who later tested positive for the virus. She was able to glimpse President Trump on Tuesday as he entered the White House briefing room, but she did not participate in the briefing.

Mulvaney is reportedly under voluntary self-quarantine in his home state of South Carolina after his niece – who lives in his Washington, D.C. home – contacted Wajngarten in Florida.

A senior administrator confirmed to DailyMail.com that Mulvaney was working from home “as a precaution.”

And Grisham said on Monday that she stayed home “out of precaution” for several days after coming into contact with Wajngarten.

President Trump issued a set of guidelines on Monday to combat the spread of viruses, including advising people to stay at home when they feel sick and to stay at home when they have the virus.

“Each of us has a vital role to play in stopping the spread,” the president said in the White House briefing room.

The day after her meeting with the Australian official, Ivanka Trump attended dinner in Mar-a-Lago with her father and Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, whose assistant Wajngarte tested positive.

Kushner was at that dinner too. And Grisham was also in Mar-a-Lago that weekend.

The White House said last week Dutton was ‘asymptomatic’ while interacting with the first daughter, and Ivanka Trump showed no symptoms, did not have to quarantine herself, and stayed home as a precaution.

The White House is aware that Mr. Dutton has tested positive for COVID-19. He was asymptomatic during the interaction. Case exposures were reviewed, and the White House medical department confirmed, in accordance with CDC guidelines, that Ivanka is free of symptoms and does not need to be quarantined. She was working from home today from an excess of prudence until leadership was in place, “said Judd Deere, deputy press secretary for the White House, in a statement last week.

Meanwhile, President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago club was closed on Monday for a thorough clean-up after three people attending events at the Winter White House tested positive for coronavirus.

The resort went to zero in Trump’s world for the illness after the positive tests followed a weekend of fundraisers, dinners, and parties at the upscale beachfront club for members only.

The three known cases are Wajngarten; Acting Brazilian Charge d’Affaires Ambassador Nestor Forster, who sat at the table with Trump on Saturday night; and an unnamed participant who attended a fundraiser there last Sunday.

The weekend kicked off a series of events and resulted in several self-explanations from Trump allies after joining the club.

Republican National Committee chairman Ronna McDaniel isolated herself and was tested for the coronavirus after she fell ill. Last Saturday she attended dinner and fundraisers at the chic beach club.

Her test came back negative.

Senator Lindsey Graham also quarantined after being in Mar-a-Lago, but announced this weekend that he was testing negative for the virus.

President Trump was also tested for the disease, but it came back negative.
