Ivanka Trump has revealed the one thing she wishes her parents Donald Trump and Ivana had told her growing up – and she’s not holding back.
The former presidential adviser, 43, made a rare appearance on Monday The skinny confidential podcast about him and her, where she spoke on a wide range of topics.
During the show, hosts Lauryn and Michael Bosstick asked the mother of three to talk about some of the best things she learned from her parents.
Ivanka reminisced about the time she spent with her late mother at the Plaza Hotel in New York, where she was CEO.
“I would go to her every day after school, she was the CEO of the Plaza Hotel, the iconic hotel in New York, and I would go with her on walks, and it was literally like a well-behaved Eloise at the hotel. Plaza,” Ivanka revealed.
“I ran after her and watched her do her thing. My father was the same.”
However, she admitted that there was one thing she believes her parents didn’t show her when she was young.
“There was never any explicit instruction,” Ivanka said. “I wish I could have gotten a little bit of that, to sit down and say, ‘This is how I like to be, this is how I behave, have you noticed this?’

“It was purely observational,” she continued. “They never pushed it down our throats, you know, they come to work with us in this capacity, but when we were curious and interested, they always wanted us there.
‘I spent my weekend on construction sites, just testing backlog. And you learn a lot from that.’
During the interview, Ivanka also recalled that her mother in particular had an amazing and keen attention to detail.
She then discussed visiting her mother at The Trump Castle, a casino she ran in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
The heiress said that there were numerous chandeliers hanging from the ceiling in the lobby, and as the two descended the escalator, Ivana could see that one light bulb had gone out without even looking at the lamps.
“That level of crazy detail was my mom,” Ivanka said.
Tragically, Ivanka’s mother passed away on July 14, 2022, at the age of 73, after falling in her Upper East Side home.
Donald Trump was married to Ivana from 1977 to 1990, and in addition to Ivanka, they shared two sons together: Donald Jr. and Eric.

During his last term, Ivanka was an adviser to the president, and her husband, Jared Kushner, a senior adviser
Ivanka’s podcast appearance comes just a few months after a source revealed to DailyMail.com why the shoe designer would no longer play a role during her father’s reign in the White House.
During his last term, Ivanka was an adviser to the president, and her husband, Jared Kushner, a senior adviser.
This time, however, things will be different.
The source explained that things started to get bad for Ivanka after the January 6 insurrection and after she was subpoenaed during the investigation into the president’s attempts to stay in power.
“She felt like she was being asked to reveal something she knew nothing about and that she never wants to be in (that) position again,” the source told DailyMail.com.
“Her family means the world to her and she is now focusing on motherhood and other private ventures,” they continued, adding that she is “completely happy where she is in her life.”
“This time she thinks it’s perfect to hand over the reins to Lara (Trump). Not her circus, not her monkeys.’
Lara, who is married to Ivanka’s brother Eric, played a bigger role during Trump’s campaign this time and was by his side at many rallies.
Lara is also co-chair of the Republican National Committee.
