A well-known presenter who left ITV three years ago after a huge row with his bosses has made his return to television.

The star spent some time out of the spotlight after quitting the Loose Women panel in 2020 following clashes with bosses.

Saira Khan, 53, who rose to fame after being a finalist on The Apprentice in 2005, was a regular on the ITV daytime show from 2015 to 2020.

And now the star has returned to live mainstream TV as she did returns to Channel 5’s popular daytime show Jeremy Vine on Tuesday.

Joining the panel, Saira looked at home as she discussed Kate Middleton’s mysterious whereabouts and the panel delved into royal rumors.

Talk to The sunSaira admitted: “After taking a few years off TV, it was nice to be back and I didn’t realize how much I missed it.

“It was Jeremy (Vine) who persuaded me to come back.”

She added: “I think it’s good to take a break and I feel more confident now about who I am and who I mean.”

On Instagram, Saira also gushed about her appearance as she shared a few snaps from the day.

She wrote: “So after a few years off TV it was nice to come back – @thejeremyvine talked me into doing it and I’m not going to lie….I really enjoyed it.

‘So thank you @jeremyvineon5 @thejeremyvine @owenjones84 for making my first day back a lot of fun.

“Thank you to the @jeremyvineon5 team who put the show together – it’s all very lovely and I felt very taken care of.”

She added: “It was nice to have a little rant and let off some steam!”

It comes after she told the Mirror: “The final straw was when one of the young producers was sent running after me to ask if I would be willing to open a OnlyFans account.”

Saira explained: “To say I was shocked was an understatement. I could see that she herself was mortified to ask me. I said, “You’re asking an Asian woman who has a husband and kids and comes from a Muslim family to open an OnlyFans account?

“It’s just on your social media that you post pictures in your underwear and we thought if you could sneak in to see what kind of response you get from men it would make a great story.

“At that moment, I knew my time was up on the show. I felt humiliated, angry, disappointed and like goosebumps.

A source close to the ITV show told MailOnline that OnlyFans and online safety could “still potentially be investigated”, explaining: “Loose Women Investigates is an strand which has seen reports on a range of different topics relevant to viewers”. including missing persons and online safety.

“Online sites such as Only Fans and their security have been discussed several times on the show and could still be investigated.”
