ITV bosses rest on popular game show RuPaul despite good ratings… just days after Gino D’Acampo abandons his Gordon, Gino and Fred: Road Trip
ITV bosses have decided to put a popular game show to rest despite the show garnering good viewership figures.
RuPaul’s show Celebrity Lingo is not currently returning for a second series, an ITV spokesperson confirmed to MailOnline.
The show saw celebrities go head-to-head in a fast-paced word game, filling in the blanks and finding missing words in an attempt to earn money.
Celebrity Lingo was the primetime spin-off of Lingo that was hosted by Adil Ray.
It comes after Gordon, Gino and Fred emerged: Road Trip bosses hope Gino D’Acampo will return to the show after announcing he was resigning.

The Italian chef left fans and producers in shock this month when he announced he was leaving the popular ITV series over scheduling and contract issues.
But the team hopes his bond with co-stars Gordon Ramsay and Fred Sirieix will be enough to make a U-turn.
A source told MailOnline: “The bosses are hoping to convince Gino to stay with Gordon and Fred, because they really have fun together and make great TV.”
Everyone involved is said to have been stunned by his social media announcement, which comes as bosses thought “talks were ongoing.”
The source added: “Everyone connected to the show was shocked by Gino’s post. As far as the bosses were concerned, talks were ongoing and a deal was being reached.
“Contract negotiations are always difficult due to the trio’s schedules, so the filming window in which they can really get the three of them together is pretty tight.
“But clearly Gino has lost his patience and has withdrawn.”
Last Sunday, Gino revealed that he had “decided not to film any more” road trips, but insisted that it “had nothing to do with Gordon or Fred”, noting that their “friendship is very strong”.

He said in an Instagram video: “It’s just because we can’t put the dates together and sometimes when we put them together, sometimes they get swapped and it causes me a lot of trouble because I have other things I have to do.” do.
“Personal problems also because when I have to change things with my family it is very complicated and also because of (the) contracts.”
Gino, who has sons Luciano, 21 and Rocco, 18, and a nine-year-old daughter Mia with his wife Jessica Stellina Morrison, explained that he made the decision to preserve their friendships.
He continued: “Because contracts start to get very complicated and very stressful, I personally value the friendship with Gordon and Fred so much that I prefer friendship to contract discussions.”
“So I’ve decided not to do it anymore because I want to be friends with the boys for many, many years.”
