Taylor Swift treated her Swifties to her Swifties on Friday, July 7, when the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter released her highly anticipated “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” her third re-recorded album after “Fearless” and “Red.”
In addition to the 14 songs on the original album, the “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” track listing includes 2010 bonus tracks “Superman” and “Ours,” as well as previously unreleased songs and collaborations with Paramore’s Hayley Williams and Fall Out Boy. .
“It’s here. It’s yours, it’s mine, it’s ours. It’s an album that I wrote alone about the whims, fantasies, anxieties, dramas and tragedies that I experienced when I was a young woman between 18 and 20 years old,” Swift said on her Instagram account. .
“I remember doing set list after set list, obsessed with the right way to tell the story. I had to be ruthless with my choices, and I left behind some songs that I’m still unfailingly proud of now,” she continued.
Swift concluded her message with an expression of gratitude to her fans as she wrote: “I recorded this album when I was 32 (and I’m still growing, now) and the memories it brought back have filled me with nostalgia and appreciation. For life, for you, for the fact that I can claim my job.” /ra
