The Colorado Rockies are under federal investigation after hitting coach Hensley Muelens posted a video of himself in the cockpit during a recent charter flight, according to a report.

While the Federal Aviation Administration Without targeting Hensley specifically, the organization confirmed to 9News’ Chris Vanderveen that it had launched an investigation into an “unauthorized person on the flight deck” during the April 10 flight.

The flight was chartered by United Airlines, which said it was “deeply disturbed by what we see in that video.”

Mail Sport has contacted the Rockies for comment.

In the now-deleted Instagram video, Muelens can be seen sitting in the cockpit next to a pilot, who waves at the camera.

“Had some fun in the cabin of our flight from Denver to Toronto,” he captioned the clip.

“Thank you to the captain and first officer of our United charter who allowed me this great experience.”

A United spokesperson also said the situation was a “clear violation of our operational and safety policies.”

The flight was reportedly at “cruising altitude” with autopilot engaged when Muelens operated the cockpit.

United also said the pilots have been “retained” from the service while they conduct their own investigation.

Muelens said the plane was at 35,000 feet in the video.

The Rockies started this season 4-15 and will face the Mariners next Friday night.
