A life-size Taylor Swift cake is among the standout entries at this year’s Cake International event at Birmingham’s NEC.
Among the edible treats was a look-alike of Swiftie queen Taylor Swift, complete with sparkly Eras tour-style makeup and costume, but a huge portion of the dessert was missing.
Despite the incredible details of the large-scale pudding, such as the honey blonde glazed locks and shiny silver boots, the final product seemed to lack one prominent human feature: hands.
In a video capturing the cake decorating and baking spectacle, Bulgarian pastry chef Elza Baldzhiyska could be seen working tirelessly to complete the finishing touches on the sweet sculpture.

The sweet replica was tastefully made and bore a striking resemblance to Queen Swiftie Taylor Swift (Taylor Swift is pictured performing on the London leg of her Eras tour in August).
The clip also revealed an eclectic display of cakes, including a wonderful model of Elizabeth I, a terrifying alien and intricate desserts with moving parts.
One witness recalled the tragedy of losing Taylor Swift’s hands: “Elza is understandably disappointed and shocked by the damage, but she is an absolute professional and will fix it.”
“It’s kind of a race against time before the exhibition opens, but everyone is sure that Taylor Swift will star in this year’s exhibition, there’s no doubt about that.”
According to a source, Taylor Swift’s life-sized cake had “come loose” in a shipping accident.
It was being transported from Elza’s home in Windsor, Berkshire, to Cake International at Birmingham’s NEC when it was damaged.
Both hands disintegrated as cracks appeared in the frosting on the singer’s shoulders and signature blonde locks.
Award-winning cake artist Elza Baldzhiyska then found herself scrambling to rescue her creation from the superstar singer headlining an international show.
Elza is believed to have spent more than 100 hours creating her Taylor Swift model which wore the iconic blue and white sequin dress the singer wore on The Eras Tour.

During transportation, the cake’s hands were “shaken around,” a source said.
However, Eliza worked tirelessly to complete the final touches on the cake.

This terrifying entry featured a moving hand going up and down.
Last year it was King Charles and Ozzy Osbourne who stole the show. Among the spectacular creations on display were realistic edible versions of some of the world’s most famous stars.
Ozzy Osbourne was transformed into a stunning but slightly creepy cake by cake designer Jane Lashbrook.
The cake realistically replicated the Black Sabbath star in life size, and he was sitting on a throne made of skulls.
Elsewhere, another talented baker recreated Mrs Doubtfire, from the 1993 cult film starring Robin Williams, in sponge cake. The impressive cake was completed with the character’s classic suit and broom.
Yes, it’s a cake! Expect to enjoy this terrifying replica of an alien.
And a baker used his culinary skills to create a chef’s table made entirely of cake. The gorgeous piece of art included a cutting board with chef’s essentials such as garlic and tomatoes.
But the realistic piece took a gruesome turn with a severed finger and an ear dripping with blood.
One royal fan, Emma Jayne, even recreated Her Majesty’s head using sponge cake, Rice Krispies, marshmallows and modeling chocolate.
The royal cake was completed with the monarch’s sparkling crown, adorned with 2,500 zodiac crystals, each painstakingly placed individually by the patient creator.
