A Palestinian fatally stabbed an Israeli near the entrance to a shopping center in the occupied West Bank today before being shot by a civilian, authorities said.
No details were provided immediately on the identity of the Israeli, whose death was confirmed in a statement from the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem. The Israeli media reported that he was 40 years old.
The official Palestinian news agency WAFA described the attacker as a & # 39; young man & # 39; from the village of Yatta in the West Bank.
