Isla Fisher took to social media on Friday to take credit for introducing legendary Hollywood comedian Larry David to his wife Ashley Underwood.
The Australian actress, 48, made the shocking admission on Instagram as she shared a lovely birthday tribute to her close friend Ashley.
Alongside a sweet photo of Isla posing with Ashley and her husband Larry, 77, she wrote some heartfelt words.
“Happy birthday. Even though we were the most mismatched roommates in 2001, our adventures and antics were unmatched,” Isla began.
The Omani-born star later revealed that she was the one who introduced Ashley to her future husband, whom she married in 2020.
You may be from Georgia and I may be Australian… But I introduced you to your husband! she said.
Isla filmed a role in an episode of Larry’s long-running comedy series Curb Your Enthusiasm in 2019, shortly before David met Ashley.

The couple announced the shocking news by sharing a photo on Instagram of them together wearing tennis clothes.
His statement read: ‘After a long tennis match that lasted more than 20 years, we are finally going to put down our rackets.

‘In 2023, we jointly filed a lawsuit to end our marriage. We have always prioritized our privacy and have been working on this change quietly.
‘We will forever share our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate that you respect our family’s wish for privacy.’
The couple met in 2001 and married in 2010 and share three children.
