Turkish defender Samet Akaydin scored a disastrous own goal against Portugal after passing the ball past goalkeeper Altay Bayindir and into his own goal at Euro 2024 on Saturday.
Roberto Martínez’s team, who took the lead through Bernardo Silva in the 21st minute, received an absolute gift by going two goals ahead in Dortmund, after Akaydin’s no-look-back pass beat the Man United stopper, Bayindir.
