Dr Chris Brown’s new duties at Channel Seven were revealed amid news his career was in jeopardy after his show Dream Home was axed.
The Australian presenter, 46, will continue hosting Dancing With The Stars alongside co-host Sonia Kruger as she embarks on a new animal adventure series Once In A Lifetime.
Announced at Seven’s Upfronts on Wednesday, Brown’s new show will see him embark on ‘global wildlife journeys’ with Australian stars including Amanda Keller, Mick Molloy, Matt Preston and Kate Ritchie.
However, Seven did not mention that Dream Home will return to the network by 2025.
Dr Chris fronted the new renewal series when it hit screens on Seven earlier this year after leaving Channel Ten, where he was the host of a well-established TV show, for the rival network.
Earlier this week, a Seven source told Daily Mail Australia that the network had no plans to include the reality show in its 2025 lineup.
“Unfortunately, Dream Home, which announced casting for the second season in the middle of last year, has had the rug pulled out from under it,” the source said.
“Dream Home was not the dream show Channel Seven wanted it to be.”
Dr Chris Brown’s new duties at Channel Seven have been revealed amid news that his career is in jeopardy after his show Dream Home was axed.
The claims have sparked fears for Dr Chris’s TV career after he left Ten, where he co-hosted I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here with Julia Morris.
The vet then signed a contract with Seven in 2023, worth $1 million a year.
“There really hasn’t been any buzz or ratings worth stealing Dr Chris Brown from Network Ten,” the source added.
“Which was a big shock to the industry when he was poached in 2023.
“The series was supposed to be the Seven network’s answer to The Block, but it failed to excite audiences.”

When contacted by Daily Mail Australia, Seven said the claims were “baseless”.
Dream Home was by no means a ratings disaster for Seven, with its premiere in May earning a total national television reach of 2,253,000.
However, popularity had waned as the series progressed, and the finale attracted only 807,000 domestic viewers.
Although smaller, the Dream Home finale still beat MasterChef on Ten, which saw 689,000 viewers that week, and Tipping Point Australia – Olympic Specials on Nine, which attracted 679,000 viewers.
Amid speculation about the fate of Dream Home, the source added that a number of other popular shows will return to the network in 2025.
They stated there will be few other changes to Seven’s line-up for 2025, with the likes of Farmer Wants A Wife, The Voice Australia, My Kitchen Rules and Dancing With The Stars all set to return.
“The networks try to launch something really loud when they have all the media buyers in the room, but Channel Seven has nothing like a Golden Bachelor or Big Brother Australia to announce which shows Network Ten and Channel Nine actually dined on “At your Upfronts,” he said.

The TV insider also claimed that SAS Australia, which was rumored to return in 2025, has been put on hold.
It comes after host Ant Middleton claimed that fan favorite Merrick Watts would return to the show as a member of Team DS, which Merrick subsequently refuted.
‘No crew has been hired. No location obtained. “There is no SAS Australia, but the network will retain the rights, so perhaps it will return in 2026,” the source said.
It was also claimed that Ant had been having “very real” conversations about the format of the show, hoping to bring in Home and Away star Kate Ritchie as a contestant.
“There were very real conversations about SAS and Ant was putting forward ideas about making changes to the format,” the source said.
‘However, those ideas should never have left the boardroom. In fact, neither Richie nor Watts’ management were even called to a meeting.
“They were both asked about their involvement and, interestingly, they had no idea what Middleton was talking about.”
