Kanye West and Bianca Censori are said to have orchestrated speculation that they are headed for divorce to create buzz around their new album.
On Monday, multiple reports emerged that the couple had secretly broken up “weeks ago,” and that the rapper, 47, was allegedly “ready to divorce” his wife, 29.
However, the duo were photographed together in Japan just hours after the split allegations became public.
Now, sources close to the couple believe that the speculation surrounding their nearly two-year marriage was a deliberate ploy to help generate publicity around Kanye’s new album.
Late last month, Ye announced his new album Bully and premiered the song Beauty and the Beast during an event in China. He also released his album Vultures 2 in August.

A source told DailyMail.com: ‘They knew that by doing this it would generate some buzz and make them relevant as they try to promote their new album.
“They both know that people have already gotten over them and that their naked clothes are not enough to keep people’s interest. Everyone has seen her naked and now there is nothing to be surprised about.
Bianca often makes headlines for wearing almost nothing in public, while the American rapper covers up completely while out and about.
The model has made a name for herself by stepping out in stockings with no underwear underneath and daring bodysuits that barely cover her.
But now, the source says they may have resorted to a new tactic to get attention, as people are no longer shocked by her daring wardrobe.
They said: ‘Bianca overexploited her sexuality with his help and now no one cares. Then they create some rumors that they’re over, they take advantage of it by deleting social media and spending time apart, and bam, they’re back in the public interest.

Earlier this year, Kanye declared that his wife Bianca will wear even less clothes in 2024, after sharing a series of racy snaps on his Instagram account.
‘Bianca overexploited her sexuality with his help and now no one cares. “So they create some rumors that they’re done, and they take advantage of it by deleting social media and spending time apart,” the source said.
“His friends are starting to think this is just pathetic.”
On Mondays, TMZ reported that the rapper and his wife were “possibly” planning to file for divorce.
The Yeezus rapper was in China and Japan while Bianca enjoyed some time in her native Australia.
Bianca closed her Instagram account and Kanye also deleted all images from his account except for one, which was posted on February 28.
During this time, he had claimed to friends that he could no longer “ignore” his family’s questions about the most troubling parts of their relationship.
“They broke up some time ago,” the source told DailyMail.com exclusively. “Bianca began to see the relationship in a new light when her friends and family expressed concern about the way she dressed in public and Kanye felt like he didn’t like her as much as he did in the beginning.”
Bianca was photographed with her sisters Alyssia and Angelina, and her mother Alexandra, in mid-August after they flew to visit her in Los Angeles.
The controversial couple were reportedly already “adrift,” but everything changed after their visit.
Bianca’s loved ones have frequently expressed their fears about how much she has supposedly changed since marrying the musician, and some have even gone so far as to stage an intervention.

In February, a source told DailyMail.com that Kanye’s ex-wife Kim had asked him to cover for his wife when she was with their children.
