Fijian rugby star Peniasi Dakuwaqa has gone viral on social media after scoring what has been called the greatest individual try of all time.

Dakuwaqa, 26, plays as a winger for French team Stade Francais Paris in the Top 14.

And, during their clash against Racing 92 on Saturday, Dakuwaqa completed an act of genius.

When Racing 92 kicked deep into the Stade Francais 22, the 26-year-old collected the bouncing ball and ran it inside his own try line, narrowly avoiding a tackle.

He then reached breakneck speed and executed a composed chip-and-chase to break the initial defense line.

Fijian rugby star Peniasi Dakuwaqa, 26, has gone viral on social media after scoring what has been called the best individual try of all time for Stade Francais Paris on Saturday.

The play began when the 26-year-old collected the ball inside the Stade Francais 22.

The winger then ran inside his own try line, narrowly avoiding a tackle in the process.

Dakuwaqa executed a composed chip-and-chase, narrowly beating an injured opponent

To add more drama, Dakuwaqa even hurdled an injured player and coach, before picking up the ball perfectly and continuing his mammoth full-field sprint.

He then held off a tackle before leaving another opponent in his wake as he ran away to complete his almost improbable feat of over 100 metres.

And fans were quick to praise Dakuwaqa after his impressive attempt as one of them said: ‘Attempt of the year!! And next year!’

Another added: “That’s why he’s called The Flash,” before another amazed follower said: “Wow, crazy.”

Another fan simply said: “Incroyable”, which means incredible in French, before another joked: “Attempt of the decade.”

One even commented on a particular part of the attempt saying: ‘How lucky that chip didn’t hit the doctor or the injured player!’

He then stopped a tackle before leaving another opponent behind him as he ran away.

Dakuwaqa celebrated in style by scoring to complete the almost improbable feat of over 100 metres.

Several rugby fans rushed to greet Dakuwaqa as Stade Francais won the crucial match 27-11.

Dakuwaqa’s moment of brilliance came at a crucial moment in the match, with Stade Francais leading 17-11 heading into the final 15 minutes before his try.

It also came after he opened the scoring in the first half with another try and his team won the match 27-11.

The victory ensured Stade Francais made it four wins in a row to maintain their four-point lead over Toulouse at the top of the top 14 standings.
