Humanity has become obsessed with the idea of a giant hairy monster roaming the forests of North America – but although there have been many suspicious sightings, no one has ever seen the real thing.
Despite the lack of concrete evidence of Bigfoot’s existence, people have been captivated for years by the idea that this monster might be real, and alleged sightings are always sure to send believers into a frenzy.
A man from the United States is one such believer, who even believes he has captured some of the clearest images of the ape-like monster in the Mississippi forest.
After Josh Highcliffe posted his video on YouTube eight years ago, other Bigfoot hunters agreed it was the best footage of the legendary creature they had ever seen – and after all this time , fans still believe that his title remains undisputed.

The footage, filmed nine miles west of Tunica, according to Josh, shows a huge, broad-backed creature that looks something like a gorilla in the background, pulling bark from the trunk of a tree.
The clip darkens to another moment, where Josh explains that he was so scared that he accidentally stopped recording for a while.
When he resumes, the dark, hairy creature is back in the center of the shot, ripping the bark off the tree and throwing it to the ground.
The video becomes slightly shaky and fuzzy as Josh’s breathing becomes heavier, and it’s clear he’s scared of the creature in front of him.

Josh later explained that he took the footage while hunting hogs, on land designated for hunting in the southern state.
LadBible reports that he wrote, “My first instinct was to run, I didn’t even think to shoot…so I know no one will believe me.”
‘It was like everything was slowing down…I was scared! I took out my iPhone and started recording it…I guess I pressed the record button twice as it stopped flashing red but I pressed it again.
‘I hear a truck driving down the road and the thing got up! I was trying to be completely quiet… when he got up I couldn’t control myself and ran.
He further explained that the creature he captured on camera was around 7 feet tall, according to his estimate.
Nearly a decade after the video was first posted, Bigfoot believers still believe Josh’s footage is the best they’ve ever seen of a creature that could be the mythical beast.
One person recently left a comment under the video that read, “Honestly, this is probably the best footage ever. Surprising that we don’t talk about it anymore.
Another said the footage appeared to capture a very ‘natural’ moment, saying: ‘When you hear the wood crack when he rips it apart, it sounds like he has real strength.’
