Is this meat over-done, perfect or under-done? A heated debate ensues over the quality of mom’s steak dinner
- A mom has sparked a heated debate about how to cook steak just right
- The mother was angry that she overcooked her own steak because she did it
- People said her medium steak was perfect, some said it needed more cooking
A busy mom’s steak dinner has sparked a heated discussion online after she asked if people thought the meat was overcooked, undercooked, or just right.
The mother said she had to take his can of the steak to clean up after her four-year-old’s tantrum and was disappointed that she let it cook too long.
“If your steak was this cooked, would you consider it over, perfect, or under?” she asked to post a picture of her meal.

The steak in the picture looked medium cooked, leaving the mother very disappointed.
But her audience was divided and arguing over the proper way to serve a steak with hundreds of people weighing it down.
Some people got sick at the thought of eating something pink like that.
‘Much too overcooked for me. I couldn’t look at it on my plate, let alone eat it without throwing up,” one woman said.
And she quickly found support.
‘Same when I see red, I can’t eat it. It must be almost burnt before I want to eat it,’ agreed another.
“Same here, I want mine to be fully cooked, not even pink, probably burnt best,” added another.

But dozens of others said the meat was “perfect.”
“I’d consider it perfectly cooked, well done mama,” said one woman.
Others were on the same page as the original poster.
“This is way past for my taste, but to each his own I guess,” said one mother.
“This is definitely overcooked, it should be cooked blue,” said another woman.
“Overcooked, I love my steak bellowing,” wrote a third.
The meal was posted on the popular ‘What’s for dinner Australia tonight’ page.
Others agreed that the steak was exceptionally cooked for someone caring for a child in a tantrum.
