Kate Ritchie has had a tough year: she broke up with her boyfriend Chevy Black and had to deal with the fallout from a stalker ordeal.
But the former Home and Away star looked happy as she stepped out to attend Nova FM’s Singles Ball at Taronga Zoo on Thursday.
The radio presenter, 45, looked half her age as she led the arrivals in an elegant but stunning black minidress that featured a silver flower on the bust.
But it was the single she matched that night that really made Kate shine.
A handsome man named Will asked Kate for a dance, which seemed to brighten her night.

Dressed in a smart black suit and bow tie, Will looked nervous as he approached Kate as she spoke to friends at a table.

The couple seemed to hit it off instantly.
Handing her his rose, he introduced himself and the two left the table to get to know each other better.
Fans of the breakfast radio show went wild over the comments on the Instagram post.
‘Awww it’s kinda cute. Good choice Kate. Australia’s own Will and Kate,” wrote one follower.

Kate was seen exchanging sweet nothings with Will on the dance floor.
She seemed pleased with her catch as she smiled at her friends.
Earlier that night, Kate arrived at the dance looking stunning in her sexy ensemble.
When he got out of the car he was wearing a luxurious black coat with fur lapels.
She was also seen warmly welcoming her co-host Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald with a hug as they entered Taronga’s Gilli Rooftop.
Kate’s potential budding romance comes after she ended her relationship with her boyfriend Black, nine months after they became Instagram official.

Kate later took their romance to the next level by introducing Chevy to her mother Heather and daughter Mae.
However, by the end of that year, Kate was single again.

Meanwhile, Kate endures more pain when her stalker’s nightmare came to light earlier this year.
It was revealed that she made a phone call to NSW Police after receiving a message from Gerard Ryan, 71, saying he was in the suburb where she lives and was hoping to find her.
He had sent her “hundreds” of messages from February 2022 to April 2023, including “numerous photographs of the accused naked and numerous videos of the accused masturbating”, the police facts, seen by the Daily Telegraph, claimed.
She also increased her height with a pair of black patent leather heels.
Ryan was arrested in a park in Sydney’s eastern suburbs last month and charged with stalking, to which he pleaded guilty. He also received a violence order prohibiting him from approaching Kate.
Waverley Local Court was told Ryan’s obsession with the TV star began last year when he began posting comments on her social media accounts including: “Hi Kate… I love you so much.”
Another post read: ‘I just want to kiss you, my heart beats for you, I love you madly.’

In February, he sent a letter to his work address that included a Valentine’s Day card.
Ryan was sentenced to a 12 month Probation Order and an AVO states that he must not come within 500 meters of Ritchie’s home or workplace.
