Tottenham players have given their opinion on which team will emerge victorious in the Euro 2024 final.

Spain, the only team in the tournament to have had a perfect record in the group stages in Germany, come into the match having eliminated France, one of the pre-tournament favourites.

England, meanwhile, join Luis de la Fuente’s side in the final after beating the Netherlands thanks to a dramatic goal from substitute Ollie Watkins on Wednesday.

With the clash fast approaching, pre-season is already underway at clubs across the country in preparation for the return of the club football season.

As Spurs prepared for training, the players were asked to give their prediction on who will lift the trophy on Sunday night.

Captain Son Heung-min said he hopes England can secure victory and added an emotional message to his friend and former teammate Harry Kane.

“It’s difficult,” Son said. “I think Spain have had an incredible tournament, but I want England to win and I want Harry (Kane) to win. He’s the best English player in history.”

James Maddison was the next player to come under fire for his thoughts on the final.

The midfielder had hoped to be part of Gareth Southgate’s squad for the tournament but was ultimately ruled out when Southgate reduced his squad to 26 last month.

Still, Maddison insisted he was confident the Three Lions would lift the trophy for the first time: “England, of course. Come home!”

Timo Werner also backed England to win, with the German striker joined in his prediction by club newcomers Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall.

James Maddison also backed the Three Lions to defeat Spain, after narrowly missing out on Gareth Southgate's squad for the tournament.

However, not everyone was so sure.

Brennan Johnson represented the Three Lions at youth level before switching his international allegiance to Wales and remained steadfast in his indecision when asked who will win on Sunday, insisting only that the game will finish 2-1.

Meanwhile, Spanish midfielder Bryan Gil unsurprisingly picked his country to prevail, with Emerson Royal joining in his assessment.
