Nike is set to mark Pride month with the launch of an ‘inclusive’ clothing line for children, according to a leaked memo.

Nike will hold a series of events and activities in June and July under the theme “Together We Are Undeniable”, which they say will center on “determination”, celebrating community icons “in light of the recent attacks and restrictions imposed on the community and its allies”. ‘.
It comes just two months after a controversial partnership with the face of Bud Light and trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney sparked backlash from some feminists over the decision to sponsor a women’s line to a transgender woman, a woman going as far as at the bra burn protesting the Nike deal.
An apparent internal email said the company would ‘spotlight’ Kids One Fit clothing in June

The email obtained by the Daily Wire does not clearly indicate where the email came from within Nike.
But, he says, the new clothing line will be “in collaboration with Nike Kids Design.”
Earlier this year, Nike announcement its first-ever gender-neutral sportswear collection, featuring sneakers and unisex apparel in a range of adult sizes.
Adidas also has released a Pride 2023 collection, which featured male models in women’s swimwear – for which they received backlash and support from divided viewers.
Target became one of the most notable stories when it launched a Pride collection featuring “tuck-friendly” swimwear.
Earlier in June, it was reported that the company had lost $12 billion in market value since mid-May, with a former Target executive saying the campaign was its “biggest mistake”.
The email obtained by the Daily Wire revealed that Nike has apparently pledged $600,000 to LGBTQ groups including Camp Lightbulb, the National Center for Lesbian Rights and GLSEN.
On July 11, staff have the opportunity to “join the Human Rights Campaign, Kaig Lightner of the Portland Community Soccer Club and Dr. Blair Peters of the OHSU Trans Health Program for a panel and questions. -responses to discuss policies impacting the transgender community”.
Dr Blair Peters also received backlash last year for a deletion since Tweeter noting that he performed mastectomies for three young adults and teenagers in one day.
The surgeon claimed at the time that all had supportive parents present and ‘you could see the family’s relief the second we got back to the operating theatre’.
More recently, Peters share a message on Twitter dealing with “misinformation” and “hate”.
“Gender-affirming care is a living gift. For some, it saves lives,” they said.
Nike’s email also referenced Nike’s first Pride Community Fair.
The July 13 event will spotlight local queer, women’s and minority-owned businesses and will include “activations like ‘Taco About It'” and a “Family Drag Story Time.”
While Oregon leans Democrat, it has seen disputes in the past over drag readings.
In October last year, a “drag queen story event” sparked violent clashes outside a bar.
ACLU recordings several proposed anti-LGBTQ+ bills affecting health care and education in Oregon.

Some online reacted critically to Nike’s sponsorship deal with trans woman Dylan Mulvaney

Some disgruntled netizens have spoken out against the decision to make Mulvaney the face of Nike
Montana last month became the first state to specifically ban people dressed in drag from reading books to children in public schools and libraries.
Republican Governor Greg Gianforte signed the bill because he “believes it is extremely inappropriate for small children, especially preschoolers and elementary school children, to be exposed to sexualized content. “said spokeswoman Kaitlin Price.
The law is unique among state efforts to block drag performances because it does not require a sexual element in a performance for it to be banned.
The status of trans women in sport has proven a point of contention in recent months.
In late May, Caitlyn Jenner spoke out after a trans woman made headlines for taking second place in a 1600m race.
The former Olympian decathlete wrote on Twitter: “As a ‘somewhat’ track star myself and a trans person this is wrong!!!
She shared a link to her political action committee, Fairness First, which says its goal is to “keep boys out of women’s sports”.
After the race, Riley Gaines also called on female athletes to boycott events and give governing bodies “a big push” after Johnson missed out on our third-place finish.
Gaines has become one of the loudest voices opposing the inclusion of trans athletes in women’s sports.
Last year, she finished tied for fifth against trans swimmer Lia Thomas at the NCAA championship.
