They have proudly carried on the legacy of Steve “Crocodile Hunter” Irwin since he was tragically killed by a stingray 18 years ago.
And on Sunday, Bindi, her mother Terri and her brother Robert Irwin announced that the annual Steve Irwin Gala will return on May 11 at the Bellagio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.
“Guests are treated to a delicious three-course dinner and a night of entertainment and dancing with roaming animals, artists, guest speakers and a live auction,” they said in an Instagram post .
But fans took to social media to question why the event was taking place in America, since Steve is an Australian icon.
“Holding the Steve Irwin Gala in America instead of Australia is disappointing to say the least,” one fan wrote.

Other fans were shocked by the $750 ticket price.
“If only it wasn’t $750…I would love to go.” That’s a pretty steep price for any gala,” one fan wrote.
Fans took to social media to question why the event was taking place in America and decry the “expensive” price to attend the event.

A gala honoring the late wildlife warrior’s legacy will also be held in Brisbane on November 9.

One of the family’s most recent tributes to Steve is the Crocodile Hunter Lodge, which features luxury cabins located inside the zoo premises.
The chic rooms offer guests modern conveniences amid picturesque gardens, with the website listing cabins sleeping four at $949 a night.
The site is also home to a restaurant called “Warrior” in honor of Terri’s late husband, Steve, and granddaughter, Grace Warrior.
