Rescuers in Iran are trying to reach a helicopter involved in “an incident” while traveling with an entourage that included President Ebrahim Raisi.

There were no immediate details about what happened to the helicopter, or who else besides the Muslim president was on board.

It is understood Raisi was traveling through Iran’s East Azerbaijan province.

State television described the area of ​​the incident as near Jolfa, a city on the border with the nation of Azerbaijan, about 375 miles northwest of the Iranian capital, Tehran.
