Inter Milan CEO Beppe Marotta has confirmed the club’s interest in signing Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin and says he will not rule out a transfer to Manchester United’s Alex Telles.
Bellerin, who has spent his entire career with the Gunners, fell out of favor under Mikel Arteta last season and is strongly linked with a departure from the Emirates Stadium.
While Telles, who only joined Manchester United last summer, has been linked with a departure from Old Trafford just a year after signing a four-year deal, with the option to extend for another year.
Inter’s Beppe Marotta has confirmed club interest in signing Arsenal’s Hector Bellerin
The Nerazzurri are eager to buy defensive reinforcements as their first-choice right-back, as Achraf Hakimi signed for Paris Saint-Germain earlier this month in a £51m deal.
When asked about signing Bellerin, Marotta shared: Sky Italy: ‘He is a name you mention, we are interested in that, but I will not go further, because he is not our player.’
He also provided insight into the club’s interest in Telles, saying: “I am not ruling out anything, but at the moment we are focusing on evaluating all opportunities without rushing to close this or that operation.”
Inter is looking for a new right back after the sale of Achraf Hakimi to PSG
That’s why they could buy Bellerin, who has lost his starting place at Arsenal
Bellerin is likely to leave Arsenal this summer lost his place as the first-choice right-back option in mid-February.
The 26-year-old started just two of the Gunners’ last 13 Premier League games when Cedric Soares and Calum Chambers were selected for the Spaniard.
Arsenal are also gearing up for a first season without European football in a quarter of a century and it is believed the North Londoners will have to sell players before they can be added to the roster.
Therefore, they could try to sack Bellerin, who has sparked interest at Inter, PSG and Barcelona despite his inconsistent performance for the Gunners.
Meanwhile, Manchester United may be reluctant to let Telles leave this summer after acquiring his signature just a year ago.
However, that could change if they secure Atlético Madrid’s Kieran Trippier for £18million this summer.

Telles has said he wanted to say at United and work his way into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s roster
Nevertheless, Telles – who can play either right or left – provides ample cover for England sensation Luke Shaw.
Telles has also said he would like to stay at Old Trafford and work his way into Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s roster.
He told the club’s official website: “I am very happy to be back here. It’s a pleasure to be at Manchester United in my second season.
“Last season we came very close to winning trophies, so we are going into next season with a lot of desire and I really want to show my work and my value here at the club.”
