A man who was caught on camera kicking down the front door of a hotel received a dose of instant karma within seconds of carrying out the act of vandalism.
In a video posted on social media, the man is seen trying to enter the lobby of a Marriott hotel by hitting the glass door, breaking one of the panes instantly.
In order to gain entry, he continues to repeatedly kick the glass door, almost knocking it off its hinges.
However, he soon regretted the incident when a nearby police officer got involved.
The footage shows the man first standing at the door, making his way inside, but once he reaches the reception desk, he appears to act as if nothing has happened.

It’s not long before maintenance, security and police workers arrive on the scene, and as the man fails to comply with their instructions, the situation becomes tense.
The officer pulls out a pair of handcuffs as the man stands at the hotel reception desk.
Towering over the police officer, he could be heard repeatedly protesting, “I’m a citizen.”
The man refused to offer his hands to be handcuffed, but the officer appears to have heard enough.
Catching the man off guard, he abruptly punches him in the jaw, knocking him off balance.
The police arrived on the scene very quickly and one officer punched the man in the jaw, knocking him off balance.
The man was then handcuffed after his arrest.
The officer then manages to knock the man to the ground, placing a knee on his head while grabbing his wrists to finally handcuff them and arrest him.
Online commenters were impressed by the claim that the police officer acted alone.
“That little cop is so tough. Well done,” wrote one.
‘The policeman has good moves!’ a second agreed.
“Lol bro he really thought he wasn’t going to jail after kicking that door down,” another user chimed in.

Last week, a Chicago homeowner was seen chasing and fighting off a would-be burglar through his neighborhood while wielding a frying pan as a weapon.

Williams was minutes away from getting home from work when she received an alert from her alarm system that someone had broken in.
‘I went into the house, looked to see if there was a gun available… there was a frying pan lying there, so I grabbed the pan and at the same time the burglar came down the stairs.
“At this point, it was fight or flight, and I would rather fight,” Williams said. ABC.

The video shows the brave homeowner chasing the suspect while waving the frying pan in the air on his lawn.
“Get out of here, I’m going to kill you,” Williams is heard shouting as the intruder runs for his life.
In a scene straight out of a TV cartoon, Williams ends up delivering a satisfying punch to the suspect, leaving him completely shaken as the police arrive on the scene.
The intruder is seen attempting to run across the street after the painful blow before eventually giving up and being handcuffed by police.
