Two criminals who tried to rob a pharmacy received instant karma when the employee turned out to be a black belt in jiu-jitsu.
The couple had planned to rob a pharmacy in Balneario Camboriu, in the Brazilian state of Santa Catarina, on September 14.
But unbeknownst to the hapless thieves, the mild-mannered employee was actually a martial arts expert.
The employee pinned one of the robbers to the ground and punched him several times in the head.

While the criminals managed to loot the shelves, when they tried to flee the employee took the opportunity to dispense justice.

After beating one of the robbers into submission, the employee discovered that his weapon was actually a piece of metal pipe.
Paramedics took the suspect to the hospital where he was treated for multiple injuries and will be charged with armed robbery.
Police are currently searching for his female accomplice, who escaped with around £30 in cash.
