Princesses Chiara and Carolina of Bourbon-Deux-Siciles spent their summer as you’d expect from two Italian It-Girls – rubbing shoulders with European royals on the French Riviera.
The heir sisters were born to Prince Carlo, Duke of Castro – who holds a claim to the now defunct throne of the former House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies – and Princess Camilla, Duchess of Castro.
They were pictured in Saint-Tropez, France, throughout August as rumors swirled that younger sister Chiara, 18, is dating Denmark’s heir apparent, Prince Christian.
Speculation was sparked after Christian, 17, stood close to Rome-born Chiara in a group photo taken at the Monaco Grand Prix in May.
The royals have been spotted together ever since, and Chiara spent her summer rubbing shoulders with various European royalty in the south of France.

Yesterday the heir sisters, 18 and 20, shared photos of their ‘reunion’ with Princess Louise of Belgium, who is 14th to her country’s throne.
Carolina, Chiara and Louise – the daughter of Prince Laurent of Belgium and Princess Claire – posed for a selfie captioned “finally reunited”, while another image showed off their chosen handbags.
Louise then shared a photograph of a stunning sunset at the five-star Airelles Saint-Tropez hotel, Château de la Messardière, which was reposted by the two sisters.
Earlier today, Chiara, 18, posed in front of a yacht in a chic blue floral print dress and posted a picture of her new, shorter haircut.
The sisters are spending time on the French Riviera with their immediate family and were joined by Prince Michael of Kent, the late Queen Elizabeth’s first cousin.
Fashionable in a lilac shirt and blue shorts, while sporting a yellow baseball cap, the grandson of George V, 81, posed with Princess Camilla, 52, for a holiday snap she shared online, commenting, “Happy times.”
The couple were joined at the beachfront gourmet bar Le Club 55 by the Princess’s husband, Prince Carlo, Duke of Castro.
The latest sunny photos come as rumors swirl that Chiara is courting Prince Christian of Denmark, 17.

The girls spent a day together in Saint-Tropez, France, on Friday as their vacation continued
The future king of Denmark is said to have been spending time with the princess and her family this summer, after her mother shared an Instagram story of the family posing with Christian, captioned “family and friends”.
And the couple were also seen enjoying an ice cream together in Saint-Tropez.
While the Danish royal family has yet to comment on the rumours, 18-year-old Chiara isn’t afraid to flex her relationship.
“The Bourbon family is linked to almost every royal family or former ruler in Europe, it’s kind of a big club,” she said.
“King Felipe VI of Spain is my father’s cousin and I am very close to the heiress, Leonor, who, like me, loves sport and especially women’s football”.
