A small northeastern state has five of the most active housing markets this summer.

Although mortgage rates remain elevated, sitting at 6.89 percent for a 30-year rate, some housing markets are still red hot and have buyers ready to pounce.

The most searched location in June was Hartford, Connecticut, according to Realtor.com Review.

Hartford, just two hours from New York City, received 4.4 times more visits per property than the national average last month.

Connecticut also had four more metropolitan areas in the top 20, making it the state with the highest demand for property right now.
