An Australian who was named Donald Trump at birth and now spends his life impersonating the former US president, says he plans to eventually rule the country.
The 33-year-old became an overnight celebrity after appearing on center court at Sydney Downing wearing a blonde wig, a navy suit, a signature red tie and a bright orange tan. He was also flanked by bodyguards.
He faced an assault charge after allegedly taking a woman’s license outside a nightclub in the inner Sydney suburb of Darlinghurst when she refused to give it back.
However, Trump’s court appearance this week was fleeting when the prosecutor dropped the assault charge.
“I don’t consider myself an impersonator, just a guy trying to live up to his beautiful, incredible name,” he told WhatsNew2Day Australia from his home in Jesmond, a suburb of Newcastle.

‘Everywhere I go, people line up to take a photo with me.
“People invite me to their homes, they invite me to shopping centers and even to garages.”
Speaking to A Current Affair last year, Trump told the show his name was Jay Morgan; However, court documents and the Australian Electoral Commission list his name as Donald Jay Trump.
“It’s the name I was born with,” he said, adding that his parents didn’t know America’s Donald Trump at the time and that it was just a coincidence.
Trump, who studied business administration at the University of Sydney, began dressing and speaking like the 45th president of the United States three years ago and “hasn’t looked back.”
And like the more famous Trump, he also likes to venture into the real estate sector.
“A typical day for me is dealing with the Newcastle property industry,” he said.
‘I’m thinking about building and renovating apartments. “There are so many that need to be torn down and rebuilt…I’m thinking of calling them Trump Apartments.”

Trump also has another ambitious plan: to become Prime Minister of Australia in the next 10 years.
“I don’t like the way politics is done in this country and, in fact, I have avoided politics my whole life,” he said.
“This country needs a leader who can help the Australian people and Albanese is not that person.”
Trump said his policies would include “giving the Australian public a voice.”
“It would give every Australian citizen a say and freedom of choice about what they should do,” he said.
“I want to make America, Australia and the world great again.”
