With no mobile signal, a pub and no crime, welcome to the idyllic setting of the most isolated city in the world.

The quickest way to reach the round outcrop, which measures just 38 square miles, involves taking a six-day boat trip from Cape Town in South Africa, as there is no runway for planes to land on.

Edinburgh of the Seas is on the north coast of Tristan, and Tiana notes that the small community is home to about 250 people, and “they are all British citizens because this is a UK territory.”
