High-profile Australian businesses have come together to support a family who lost everything after a fire completely destroyed their home.
Montana Adams and her family of 10 woke up to a fire alarm going off inside their two-storey home in Macquarie Fields, in Sydney’s southwest, at 2.15am on Tuesday.
Mrs. Adams and her children ran out of the house and crossed the street to safety before the terrifying inferno engulfed their home.

“I didn’t think about anything else except the kids,” Adams said. Today’s program On Wednesday.
“Within three minutes, I had all the kids across the street and all we could do was film and watch the house burn.”
Adams said she felt “stuck” as they were forced to seek shelter on the other side of the road for three hours before the devastated family tried to decide what to do next.
“I just think, ‘What do I do now? Where do I go now?’ she said.
“Not know what to do”.
Meanwhile, the family, now looking for a place to live, has been overwhelmed by support from businesses who have made generous donations in a bid to help them get back on their feet.
Independent supermarket chain IGA organized a gift card worth $5,000, while Amart Furniture also donated a gift card worth the same amount.
Shell Coles Express also contributed a $2,000 gift card, and the donations brought Mrs Adams to tears.
“I really can’t thank you enough, that’s amazing,” he said.
Firefighters responded to the scene minutes after the fire started and managed to extinguish the flames.
The inferno (pictured) tore through the property in a matter of minutes and thick plumes of smoke filled the property.
“The fire has damaged 80 per cent of the ground floor and 30 per cent of the second floor,” Fire and Rescue NSW said in a statement.
“FRNSW crews returned to the home at around 6.30am when the fire reignited in the roof.”
Fire and Rescue NSW installed two new smoke alarms last week, after carrying out a fire safety inspection.
Alarms alerted the family of the fire yesterday, forcing them to evacuate.
The cause of the fire is not yet known, however, Ms Adams said 2GB Wednesday morning that he believes the cause may have been an electrical fault in an outlet.
After the family visited the home Tuesday afternoon, Adams said it had been destroyed.

The mother-of-nine, who was able to spend the night at a motel in Strathfield, in Sydney’s west, along with her family, said her ordeal had been “stressful”.
“Last night we were sitting in the hotel room and all we can smell is the fire, so the heart starts racing,” Mrs Adams said.
“I think reality really hit us this morning because we don’t have a house and we’ve actually lost everything, absolutely everything.”
