Inside the beautiful homes of some of Australia’s most beloved Olympic athletes

With the Tokyo Olympics approaching, Australia’s best and brightest athletes are gearing up to compete in hopes of winning gold.

But if they’re not away for competitions or training hard in their chosen sport, they’ll probably be relaxing at home.

A report from realestate.com.au on Friday offered an inside look at the beautiful homes of some of Australia’s most beloved sports stars as they take on Tokyo.

Ash Barty

The 25-year-old Wimbledon winner owns a modest four-bedroom house in Springfield Lakes, an hour outside of Brisbane.

Ash bought the house in 2018 for $650,000, and owns another property in nearby Augustine Heights, which she bought in 2016 for $243,036.

According to a report by The courier post last week Ash is building her ‘forever’ home in Brookwater, a suburb of Ipswich, Queensland.

Patty Mills

The 32-year-old basketball star and Olympic flag bearer owns two homes in the US, where he has lived for the past few years.

He lives in a historic landmark building in San Antonio, Texas, where he plays for the San Antonio Spurs.

Patty also owns a second oceanfront home on the island of Oahu in Hawaii, which he bought for $2,609 million.

Sally Fitzgibbons

The 30-year-old professional surfer has a home in Gerroa on the south coast of NSW, where she was born and raised.

She paid $1,225 million for the beach house, which borders the ocean and is near the famous Seven Mile Beach.

Sally also owns a two-bedroom apartment in one of the Jewel Towers on the Gold Coast, which she bought in 2016.

The 29-year-old swimming champion and fellow Olympic flag bearer owns a four-bedroom house in Brisbane, which she bought for $890,000 in 2017.

Surprisingly, the house does not have a swimming pool, but does have solar panels on the roof and a spacious backyard.

Until late last year, Cate had also rented a house in Pymble on Sydney’s north shore.

The 27-year-old BMX rider owns a sprawling 4,564 square foot estate in Maudsland, a region on the Gold Coast.

He paid $785,000 for the property in 2018 and has since installed a state-of-the-art BMX park on it.

The house features four bedrooms with an open plan living area and there is also a newly built swimming pool.
