Some of soaps’ biggest stars arrived at London’s Salsa Temple on Monday as the Inside Soap Awards 2024 began.
Headlining the arrivals was Hollyoaks mainstay Jennifer Metcalfe, who certainly set pulses racing as she posed for photos in a daring lace look.
The actress, who plays Mercedes McQueen, posed up a storm in a sexy lace bralet and matching sheer skirt.
Emmerdale star Eden Taylor-Draper triumphed that night, winning the Best Actress award for her portrayal of Belle Dingle, in a story in which she was tormented, controlled and abused by her husband Tom King.

Lisa Riley cut an elegant figure in a black and white printed dress, as the iconic Dingle clan received the Best Family award.
Joining Lisa, who plays Mandy Dingle, were Eden (Belle Dingle), Katie Hill (Sarah Dingle) and Dominic Brunt (Paddy Dingle).

EastEnders star Sophie Khan Levy donned a daring one-shoulder black dress as she arrived at the event.
During the ceremony, TV fans named Coronation Street their best soap for 2024, in a big night for the ITV show, which saw it take home a whopping six trophies.
The television mainstay took home more than any of his competitors, including the coveted awards of Best Actor, Best Story and the biggest: Best Soap Opera.
Coronation Street missed out on the Best Soap award for the last two years, with EastEnders taking home the award in 2022 and 2023.
The Cobbles’ emotional tale of motor neurone disease, which dominated the night, saw Peter Ash take home the Best Actor award for his portrayal of Paul Foreman.
Paul lost his battle with motor neurone disease 16 months after he first showed symptoms and his latest emotional episode aired earlier this month.
Paul slowly lost his mobility and ability to consume food, eventually leaving him housebound, before heartbreaking scenes saw his character die.
The tragic story was widely recognized at the ceremony, also taking home the Best Story award and the Best Partnership Award for Daniel Brocklebank and Peter Ash’s roles as husbands Billy Mayhew and Paul Foreman.
Inside Soap editor Gary Brocart-Gilatt said: ‘The story of Paul Foreman’s carefree MND diagnosis, and the effect it had on both Paul and those who loved him, has been the TV highlight of 2024 for our voters. .
‘It’s no surprise that Peter Ash’s tender portrayal of Paul earned him our Best Actor award; and that is no small achievement in what has been a truly golden year for soap.’
Coronation Street also took home the awards for Best Comedy Performance and Best Young Actor, taking its trophy to six in total.
Charlie Wrenshall won Best Younger Actor for his role as Liam Connor, while Dame Maureen Lipman received Best Comedy Performance for the fourth consecutive year for her role as the acerbic Evelyn Plummer.
Elsewhere, Emmerdale’s Eden Taylor-Draper won Best Actress for her portrayal of Belle King, a victim of coercive spousal control.
The soap’s Dingle clan, who will soon celebrate 30 years at the center of the Emmerdale action, were named Best Family.
Meanwhile, the first Inside Soap award for best pet went to Minnie, who plays Belle’s dog Piper on the show, another victim of evil Tom King’s mind games with Belle.
Best Showstopper, awarded to a standout episode, went to EastEnders for its Christmas Day installment in which Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) killed Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters), kicking off ‘The Six’.
Navin Chowdhry was named Best Villain for his sinister role as Walford’s Nish Panesar.
Young Hollyoaks star Isabelle Smith won the ‘Best New Actress’ award for her performance as Frankie Osborne in the soap’s hard-hitting tale of sibling sexual abuse.
Inside Soap readers named the newly rejuvenated Neighbors their Best Daytime Soap and Neighbors’ Ryan Moloney (Toadie Rebecchi) as their Best Daytime Star.
Meanwhile, Adam Thomas won Best Drama Star for his role as Donté Charles in Waterloo Road.
Inside Soap readers named actress Balvinder Sopal their Soap Superstar of 2024, for her portrayal of EastEnders’ Suki Panesar.
And the magazine gave its prestigious Outstanding Achievement award to a group rather than an individual for the first time, paying tribute to the cast and crew of doctors, as the recently axed daytime drama airs its final run of episodes.
“The BBC’s cancellation of Doctors, a wonderful launching pad for new writing and acting talent, was incredibly disappointing,” said Inside Soap editor Gary Brocart-Gilatt.
“We also know how much Doctors viewers love the show, so it is in their name that we have awarded our Outstanding Achievement trophy to the team.”
