Lady Gaga, Paloma Faith and Janet Jackson have taken the stage at this intimate venue, while celebrities from Scarlett Johansson to Harvey Keitel have filled the audience.

Launched in 2008, Duane Park is “New York’s answer to the Moulin Rouge” and offers guests a gourmet four-course meal while a rotating cast of star dancers and singers performs each night.

The club was created in its current home at 308 Bowery by Marisa Ferrarin with custom interiors designed by British artist Paul Etienne Lincoln.

Ferrarin told DailyMail.com: “You never know who’s going to show up, you never know who’s going to come on stage.”

The club began as a restaurant in the city’s Tribeca neighborhood, but when he outgrew the space, Ferrarin decided to move to the Bowery in Lower Manhattan.

She said, “It’s really old school New York.” The Bowery was famous for burlesque theater in the 1920s and 1930s, so we will continue that legacy.”

They began performing shows once a week with dancer friends and off-duty singers coming on stage to perform.

But soon “it became crazy,” Ferrarin said, “we were packed every night.”

They expanded the number of shows and attracted top international artists from all over the United States and Europe.

Ferrarin said: ‘Our singers are all first-class singers. They have been in Broadway shows, one of them in Scissor Sisters.

Every night there is a cast of singers, dancers and variety performers ranging from aerial acrobats to magicians.

After word spread, they began attracting big stars for surprise performances.

One day, Lady Gaga arrived with jazz musician Brian Newman and they gave an impromptu performance.

“She was friends with Brian Newman, who was the first person to perform at Duane Park. Newman and his band were how it all started,” Ferrarin said.

‘She came one night and performed and it was very exciting for everyone.

‘She sang Someone to take care of me. “It was a surprise to the public.”

Then Paloma Faith came, Ferrarin said: “She came around quite a bit and then one night she came in with her backup singer and performed.”

Ferrarin maintains an audience of a maximum of 60 people per night to maintain the intimate feel of the performances.

She said: “We offer everyone a unique experience from start to finish, with the food, the hospitality and the artists.”

Guests must adhere to a glamorous dress code, which strictly prohibits wearing jeans and T-shirts. Ferrarin said, “No one is ever overdressed in Duane Park.”

There’s a special hydraulic stage for the dancers, a unique cage that dispenses Maltesers, and the wallpaper was designed by Lincoln and hand-made in Italy.

Ferrarin said: “We always say it’s a night you’ll remember, because no one else does it like we do.”
