Inside Mel Greig’s New Life After The Royal Joke Scandal: Former Radio Host Works For PR Firm

Mel Greig made headlines and received much criticism for her role in the tragic royal prank scandal of 2012.

And in the years since, she has rebuilt her life and moved on after resigning from 2DayFM in 2013.

The 38-year-old now works for PR agency BrandiT, based on Queensland’s Gold Coast, as a PR and media manager and shared news of a career switch in July.

In Mel Greig’s new life, nine years after the tragic royal joke scandal, the former Hot30 Countdown host now works from 9 to 5 for a PR firm after quitting radio and moving to the Gold Coast. Mel is in the picture

On Instagram, she posted a photo of herself with an exciting job title and wrote in the caption that she was “pumped” for the “three days a week” gig.

She told followers that her areas of expertise were digital marketing, branding, business strategy and public relations and media.

While Mel is still busy with “other side projects” and “media appearances to come,” her new role at the company is said to be her “big focus.”

“I couldn’t be happier and happier with the team I get to work with,” she added.

More recently on Friday, the former radio star smiled for a selfie alongside her boss, Michelle Fragar, each posing with a bottle of GH Mumm champagne.

Showing her followers that she was very happy with the role, Mel wrote in the caption, “Find a job where they appreciate you.

“I’ve never been so grateful and happy to work with such an amazing agency,” she said before praising her boss and clients.

“It’s on ice ready for the weekend,” she added gracefully into the champagne.

In December 2012, Mel and Michael Christian, co-host of 2Day FM, pretended to be the Queen and Prince Charles to get information about the Duchess of Cambridge during a hospital stay.
