So far at Lincolnshire’s four-day Swingathon sex festival, attendees have sought out sex toys, cooled each other off with water hoses and frolicked in their underwear.

The event, Britain’s largest swingers festival, kicked off yesterday in the picturesque village of Allington, near Grantham, and has been attended by 1,000 people.

The adult festival includes ‘play tents’, pole dancing, hot tubs, foam parties, mobile dungeons and butt plug bingo.

The event also featured a large ‘SpicyLounge’ tent on its Instagram story, along with the caption: ‘The SpicyLounge is something to behold! Along with the moon!’

Festival-goers have posted selfies and photos of themselves at the festival, one of which shows a person holding and apparently drinking from a water hose.

Residents of Allington, Lincolnshire, were preparing to welcome 1,000 visitors to their quiet village for a four-day sex and fetish event called Swingathon.

Angry residents have complained to police that in previous years “screams and moans” from the rural site kept them awake at night.

And this year’s X-fest is Swingathon’s biggest yet, featuring “play tents,” pole dancing, hot tubs, foam parties, mobile dungeons, and butt plug bingo.

One local, who did not want to be named, said: “I’ve heard about noise complaints before and they’re not the sounds you want to hear when you’re trying to sleep.”

They added: “To be honest, it all seems a bit sleazy, it’s not my thing. To each his own, I suppose, but we don’t really want or need it in the village.”

However, the event has some support from Allington residents.

One commented on social media: ‘If all attendees are willing, there is no problem.

‘Let them go ahead, let them enjoy what they want to do, and I’m pretty sure they will!’

Kinky guests have shelled out up to £265 per ticket, which gets them a couples ticket with use of shower and hookup included.

Numbers have reportedly doubled from 500 to 1,000 in the past year and organisers have promised it will be “bigger, bolder and better”.

The event was given the go-ahead despite objections raised last year by South Kesteven District Council’s licensing committee and Lincolnshire Police, who cited crime and disorder prevention, public safety, prevention of public nuisance and protection of children from harm as reasons for questioning the festival.

The Allington community website describes the village as “a charming village situated on the edge of the beautiful Vale of Belvoir” and adds: “Our community is lively and welcoming.”

Aerial photographs reveal a record number of attendees attended the event, up from nearly 500 last year.

Social media posts since the start of Swingathon have also shown some of the event's stalls, with flogging items including bondage gear and spanking paddles.

Swingathon organisers have been granted a temporary event notice (TEN) and said they have received more support from the local authority this year.

Co-organiser Matthew Cole said: ‘It’s great to have their support this year.

‘Last year we had to go through a headache from start to finish, but this year it’s totally different and they’re working much better with us.

‘They’re giving us advice on how we can do better, so having them on board more this year is great.

“I think they’ve realized that we’re not going anywhere. We’ve put a lot of work and a lot of time into the event.

“We have sold more tickets than ever before and, with the city council on our side, it couldn’t have gone better than I wanted.”

The event also features another edgy festival aimed at people with fetishes called FetFest.

Fetfest with BDSM and sex toy stalls, ‘private bookable play areas’ and a whip throwing area ‘for a bit of practice’.

The event will also feature performances by several bands, along with DJs, dancers and comedy acts.

Other entertainment includes a Naked Attraction style competition, drag and burlesque acts, as well as sensual massages.

Social media posts since the start of the Swingathon have also shown some of the event’s stalls, selling items including bondage gear and spanking paddles.

Organiser Kerry Voellner said: ‘The event provides a very social and safe space for people from different walks of life to meet new people.

‘This year it’s bigger, better and bolder. There will be fire eaters, pole dancers, acrobats and much more.

“We have a huge LGBT space and we do a lot of workshops. There is a whole holistic offer.

‘This year there are two festivals, separate but on the same day.

‘We quickly realized that there was an older demographic and a lot of people looking for alternative lifestyles.

“FetFest is for modern people who like fetishes. We are a normal festival for people with alternative lifestyles.”
