Inside horrific hoarder house on plush San Diego street where residents have been fighting for a DECADE to get neighbor from hell’s ‘dangerous’ property filled with mountains of trash, rats and rotting food cleaned up

Disgusting images reveal the inside of the home of a hoarder who has been plaguing an upscale San Diego street for a decade.

Investigators said they were shocked by the disgusting home owned by Lisa Golden, which was filled with trash piled several feet high, rotting food and a rat infestation.

“There are no words to adequately describe the condition of the master bathroom,” City Inspector Justin Welker added, in court documents related to the ongoing dispute over the squalid property.

Golden was in civil court this week as his neighbors seek to have the court order a cleanup of the rancid home, which they say they have been fighting for more than 10 years.

When investigators entered the home amid the ongoing court battle, Welker said they were struck by the stale smell of rotting food and mold.

He said there were signs of rat infestations throughout the house and although the house had electricity, he couldn’t tell if it had running water as the sinks and toilets were blocked by huge piles of rubbish.

In the bathroom, he said “words cannot adequately describe” the horror scenes.

“It was stained with brown dirt and the stall floor was covered in trash, including approximately a dozen used toilet paper rolls and a stack of what appeared to be crumpled, used toilet paper,” Welker wrote.

“In the bathroom and in the master bedroom I could smell the smell of rotten food and mold again.”

Neighbors have said their overgrown backyard is more than just an eyesore, infringing on their property and posing a fire threat.

In his report, Welker found the garden to be a fire hazard, as “dead palm fronds were piled up and strewn across the walkways and floor and hanging from tall palm trees overhanging neighboring properties.”

“The in-ground pool was partially filled with green water, probably algae, which is a potential breeding ground for vectors, such as mosquitoes,” he continued.

‘Several large, full plastic bags were placed on some kind of platform or piece of furniture. The hallways were covered with wood, logs, dried vegetation, plastic containers, and other random items.

“Before we left, we saw three dead rats on the ground right behind Golden’s house.”

Neighbors say they have fought to stop the hoarding for so long because Golden continues to delay court proceedings.

A hearing was intended to be held Friday to decide whether a court-appointed trustee would be sent to clean up the property, however, Golden requested a postponement because he said he could not contact his attorney.

In response, prosecutors said it was simply another delaying tactic, and CBS8 reported that she has often represented herself at other hearings.

Prosecutors added that when they contacted the man Golden said was her attorney, he claimed he did not represent her.

“This case has gone on too long, the conditions are too serious to allow it to continue,” said Assistant City Attorney David Miller.

Golden stated at the hearing that he suffers from health problems and mental health problems.

One of the Golden neighbors who is trying to clean up the squalid home, Eddie Mead, said: “The delays and postponements are very disappointing.”

‘That’s how she drags it out, months after months. It’s usually one appeal after another.

Neighbors also accused Golden of harassing them for years, and CBS 8 reported that some had restraining orders against him.

Golden could not be reached for comment.
