Barbara ‘Palvin’ Sprouse and Dylan Sprouse have shared details of their beautiful wedding this past weekend, including the three designer dresses the bride wore and the Hungarian tradition she honored on her special day.
Talking with FashionThe bride, 29, and groom, 30, reflected on their engagement, getting married in the same church Barbara was married in 34 years ago, and all the fun they had at their reception.
The couple plans to hold a larger ceremony in California in the fall, but first exchanged vows in front of 115 guests last Saturday at a property owned by Barbara’s parents called Harlekin Birtok.
“It’s going to take me some time to get used to being called Mrs. Sprouse,” said Hungarian model Barbara.
‘Dylan has been calling me his wife for three years, so there’s not a lot of adjustment on his part. We are excited to return to Los Angeles with our pets and get some rest before we start planning our American wedding.

For her special day, Barbara wore three different gowns: a custom strapless one by Vivienne Westwood, followed by a shorter gown made by Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini that she says made her “feel like a modern day princess.”
In keeping with Hungarian tradition, she ended the evening in a red dress that was changed at midnight. She selected Hungarian designer MERO to create the look that would help mark her transition into her wife.
“It’s called ‘menyecske ruha,'” Barbara explained of the tradition.
“I have to change my wedding dress at midnight, because I am no longer a bride, but a wife,” she added.
She wore a ’90s-inspired Tiffany & Co. choker and pairs of Jimmy Choo shoes that matched the colors of her three different dresses.
As for Dylan, he insisted on a “very traditional tuxedo” and didn’t forget to shave.
The nuptials were planned by Barbara and her sister Anita Palvin, who have experience in wedding planning as their parents have often hosted weddings on their property.
“We didn’t have a planner, so Barbara and her sister planned most of it,” Dylan said. “They told me my only job is to introduce myself and say the correct name.”

The couple first said “I do” in the same church where Barbara’s parents became husband and wife in 1989, and then again in a civil ceremony on “a small island within a reserve on Barbara’s parents’ property,” Vogue writes.
“All the people we love and care for were there,” Barbara said of the church ceremony. We all cry a little.
As for their civil ceremony, he said: “It was a beautiful moment that we will never forget.”
Dylan said his nerves had calmed down by the time the second ceremony came around: “Since we were already done with the church ceremony, we were a little bit calmer for part two.”
“Before we walked down the aisle we were nervous, but as soon as we saw each other, we started laughing, and this calmed our nerves. Of course we both ended up crying.

Photos obtained by Vogue show the newlyweds looking darling as they posed together, exchanged vows and partied the night away with their friends and family.
Barbara’s luscious Vivienne Westwood gown cinched at her cut-out waist and fanned out romantically for the skirt.
Her veil, pinned to the top of her head, cascaded to the floor and matched her long, sheer gloves.
The couple got engaged while on a camping trip with their friends in September 2022, but only confirmed their engagement last month.
Dylan proposed to her at a place where Barbara’s favorite animals, sea otters, could be found.
“It was very romantic,” he said. “I was suspicious and thought I might pop the question because he packed a shirt that was too nice for camping.”
