A man has been charged with murder after a body was found in a NSW prison.
Police were called to the correctional facility in Parklea in Sydney’s north-west on Sunday at 9:30 a.m., after the inmate was found unresponsive in a cell.
The man was treated by detectives until paramedics arrived but was pronounced dead at the scene.
“He has not yet been formally identified,” NSW Police said on Monday.
On Sunday afternoon, a 20-year-old inmate was arrested on charges of murder.
He has been refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Monday.
