Ingleburn crash: Cennet Akgun dies after Nissan Skyline crashes into parked truck in western Sydney, as driver Ahmed Khazma is charged

A young woman who died in the passenger seat of a black sedan after its male driver allegedly crashed into a parked truck has been remembered as a “driving force” who brought joy to all.
Cennet Akgun, 25, also known as Jenney, was in the Nissan Skyline around 11:40 p.m. Friday when the driver, 24-year-old Ahmed Khazma, allegedly crashed into the truck on Broadhurst Road in Ingleburn, in Western Sydney.
Emergency services rushed to the intersection and treated Mr Khazma for minor injuries, before he was taken to Liverpool Hospital for mandatory tests.
Ms. Akgun, who was working as a personal assistant at a nearby mechanic, died at the scene.
Hours after the tragedy, loved ones and colleagues flooded social media with tributes, with a friend saying she had just returned from a holiday in New Zealand.

‘No way, I just talked to her the other day! Just got back from a holiday in New Zealand,’ they wrote in a local Facebook group.
‘Rest in peace. This is terrible news. I feel sick to my stomach.
On Saturday afternoon, his boss at Just Engine Management wrote on Facebook: “It is with a heavy heart and teary eyes that I write this.”
Jennoo was our sister, our mother, our best friend. She took care of us like her own family.
“She wasn’t just a hard worker, she kept us in line and motivated, her enthusiasm kept us going, she was a driving force.”
He said that she was “full of brilliant ideas and suggestions” and made the mechanic a “brillier place”.
“She brought joy to everyone, making us laugh, and was the best listener, always giving us good advice when we were feeling down.”
“Jennoo, we love and miss you, we will never forget you and we will always pray for you.”

Ms Akgun was in the passenger seat of a Nissan Skyline on Friday night when it allegedly crashed into a parked truck.
Someone else said she was “one of the best people I’ve ever met”, while a third said “I’ll never forget your beautiful soul”.
“You have definitely made an impact on all of us, just a great friend and a good person, no one will ever replace you, I just wish I had a few more funny laughs,” they added.
Mr Khazma was under police surveillance at the hospital before being released and taken to Campbelltown Police Station on Saturday afternoon.
He was charged with dangerous driving resulting in death: dangerous driving, reckless driving (resulting in death), and driving while a license application was refused.
Mr Khazma has been denied bail and will appear in Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.
