An influencer has been called out after complaining about canceled flights from Bali to Australia due to multiple volcanic eruptions near the popular resort island.
Australian social media star Lauren Bullen currently lives in Bali with her French boyfriend Liam and daughter Lumaé Rose.
They had organized a trip to Australia this week, but are now unable to travel because Jetstar and Virgin Australia have canceled all flights due to ash clouds from Mount Lewotobi Laki-Laki in Indonesia.
Lauren took to Instagram on Wednesday to complain about flight cancellations, saying she needed to find a flight to Brisbane to attend her friend’s hen party at the weekend.
‘Does anyone have information on flight cancellations in Bali? “I have a very important weekend in Australia,” he wrote.
‘I need to get to Australia on Friday for my best friend’s bachelorette party. So I have to wait and reevaluate tonight or tomorrow and somehow get a fine because right now prices have skyrocketed to $2,000 or $3,000 per person in the economy.”
Lauren then revealed that she might return to Australia alone and that her boyfriend and daughter will have to “wait until after the weekend.”
Fans have now criticized the influencer for her ‘extremely tone deaf’ post after it was shared on the Influencer Updates AU Instagram page.
