Kat Clark responded to ‘mean girls’ fashion police who criticized her 13-year-old daughter’s outfit at the TikTok Awards as ‘too revealing.’
Déjà 13, wore a midriff-baring two-piece ensemble while accompanying her mother to the social media platform’s star-studded awards ceremony in Sydney last week.
The top comment on a photo of the TikTok star mother and daughter posing together at the TikTok Awards reads: “Déjà looks like she came from a strip club.”
Kat, who organized the event with Robert Irwin, took to Instagram on Monday to respond to the torrent of online criticism about her teen’s yellow outfit.
Kat posted a picture of Kim Kardashian’s infamous all-black outfit from the 2021 Met Gala to her Stories and wrote, “This is what Déjà will be wearing to the upcoming awards shows to keep everyone happy,” with a laughing-crying emoji.
“If you’re a bad girl, stop following me,” she captioned a TikTok posted to her 6.7 million followers on Saturday.

Kat said she had been reading everyone’s negative comments about her appearance at the awards with her daughter and responded to the keyboard warriors by “not only tearing down women but TEENS as well.”
“A lot of people had problems with Déjà’s outfit and it blows my mind,” he said.
‘I have never and will never control what my children wear. One of my main goals as a parent is to make my children feel confident in their bodies. Sometimes I can make some suggestions, but if my son wants to use something, I’ll let him.
‘And isn’t it easier to be nice than a mean girl? I don’t understand.’
Kat put on a busty display at the event alongside her daughter, wearing a mint green sequin dress.
The mother of two started doing dances on TikTok for her pre-teen daughter, who she had when she was just 17, and this year she took home the TikTok Business of the Year award for her eczema cream she developed for Déjà.
In 2022, Kat was named Creator of the Year and was also named Digital Creator of the Year at the AACTAs.

In another video shared on Sunday, the 37-year-old told people still upset about her daughter’s awards outfit: “Seriously, get over it.”
‘Many people have negative opinions about how I parent. But I’m not going to let anyone change that because at the end of the day, I have the best relationship with my kids.
‘They tell me everything. We work together. Déjà is always thinking about others and how they feel. And I may not be the perfect father, but the way my son treats others, with so much love and respect, makes me think I’ve done a good job.”
Déjà, who turns 14 next fortnight, is a burgeoning influencer in her own right and has 1.4 million followers on the Instagram account run by her mother.
‘My daughter said, “Mom, you actually have an interesting life, you should do a vlog.” “I committed to watching a video a day for 30 days and it went crazy,” Kat previously said when describing her sudden rise to social media stardom.
The influencer suffered her own wardrobe dilemma while hosting the awards show on social media, with fans pointing out how she and influencer Georgia Murray wore the exact same dress.
She accessorized the halter-neck dress that featured a corset bodice with a silver clutch and clear heels.
Meanwhile, Love Island star Georgia accentuated her features in the same dress which she accessorised with a black bag.
The former reality star curled her long brunette locks and wore gold earrings to the event.

Georgia shared a video of her arrival to her social media, when fans were quick to point out that she was wearing the same dress as Kat.
“That’s the same dress as Kat Clark,” one person said.
Another asked: “Did everyone shop at the same stores?”
It comes after Kat faced backlash earlier this month for wearing a flashy dress to a friend’s wedding, with fans labeling the look “rude” and “disrespectful.”
She couldn’t contain her excitement when she showed her 6.6 million TikTok followers her outfit as a guest at a friend’s wedding.
