Body positive influencer Karina Irby revealed a rather unusual dish that she was given as a child.
The 34-year-old shared a video on her Instagram Story on Saturday, as she celebrated her mother Kim’s birthday with lunch.
Speaking from the restaurant table, Karina admitted that her mother used to feed her ‘brains’ when she was a baby.
“I’m sitting here with mum having a lovely birthday lunch and she’s sitting here and she’s like ‘oh yeah, when you were a baby I used to feed you brains’,” Karina revealed before her mother replied: ‘She loved it.’
Karina continued: ‘She said something like ‘I just wanted you to have a healthy baby brain, so I would feed you brains from a can.’
In protest, Kim said the dish was not from a can, but from a jar.
“No, it wasn’t a can,” Kim said. “I think it was like baby food, like a jar of baby food. And she loved it.”
Laughing, Karina modestly replied, “Well, it didn’t work.”

The owner of popular swimwear brand Moana Bikini looked chic at lunch in a white blazer over a black top and accessorized with a pair of gold dangling earrings.
The admission comes after Karina was kicked out of a Gold Coast cafe in June after she turned up to host an impromptu swimwear photo shoot.
The body positive influencer shared a video of herself and her friends arriving at the Palm Springs Café in Burleigh Heads without a reservation and began filming an advert for her activewear line.
Karina explained that she thought the venue wouldn’t have a problem with the session because she had bought them a cake and coffee.
Speaking from the restaurant table, Karina admitted that her mother used to feed her ‘brains’ when she was a baby.
“I thought I could order a bunch of delicious food and drinks, eat, and have the girls represent Moana Smile Club at this local cafe,” she began.
Unfortunately for Irby, the cafe staff were not at all happy and immediately told her and her friends to leave.
“They asked us not to film there and kicked us out of the cafe,” an angry Karina told her fans.
However, Palm Springs Café owners Cohen and Josh had a different version of events, telling Daily Mail Australia that Karina was not “asked to leave” but instead asked to book the session at an acceptable time.
“We do not allow professional photo shoots during business hours out of respect for our guests. However, we do rent out our space for professional photo shoots, it is a service we offer,” Cohen said.
“I’m sitting here with mom having a lovely birthday lunch and she’s sitting here and she’s like ‘oh yeah, when you were a baby I used to feed you brains,'” Karina revealed.
