Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will not attend the Met Gala.
Although both the singer and her NFL star boyfriend received invitations, TMZ has claimed that the couple have said “no” to the star-studded event on May 6.
The Costume Institute’s Spring Exhibition is held on the first Monday in May each year and is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
This year, the event date coincides with the singer’s return to the road for her Eras tour, with her first stop in Paris scheduled for Thursday, May 9. It’s unclear why Travis turned down her invitation to the Met.
Either way, fans of the famous couple will have to wait longer for them to make their long-awaited red carpet debut together.

TMZ has claimed that the couple confirmed their attendance at the star-studded event, which takes place on May 6 (pictured July 2023).
This year, the event date coincides with the singer’s return to the road for her Eras tour, with her first stop in Paris scheduled for Thursday, May 9 (pictured in November).
Taylor and Travis went public with their romance in September, and the singer came and went to support him at NFL games, including the Super Bowl.
Travis also did his part to support Taylor, flying to South America and Australia for his Eras World Tour.
The athlete gave a rare insight into their lives in episodes of his New Heights podcast in which he admitted he has no idea how he managed to get her to the NFL.
He told rapper and actor Lil Dicky about his current situation: “It’s fun, man.” “I’m having a great time in life, darling, flying high and enjoying it all… bringing new lives into the world of football and opening up the world of football to new things.”
In response, Philadelphia native Lil Dicky said, “I think it’s the best thing I’ve ever seen, I love it.” My take on it, it’s not that you want to talk about it for the umpteenth time, there’s something that makes people feel like the world is like high school.
‘Your most popular pop star, your beloved musician, somehow met your most popular beloved athlete and they really fell in love and it’s just real. Anyone who hates him is a bitter loser. I think a lot of people who would expect to hate him actually love him, and they recognize that they love him because there’s something very American about him.”
“I appreciate that,” Travis said in response. “I don’t know how I did it, because she didn’t like sports, so I don’t know how the fuck I did it.”
Lil Dicky then joked, “Well you did it because you said you called her out on your media platform,” prompting laughter and Travis responding, “Yeah, I know exactly how I did it.”

Travis and Taylor’s relationship began after he attended one of her Eras Tour shows and later told his podcast listeners that he couldn’t meet her after the show, despite making her a friendship bracelet.
One thing led to another and the couple eventually met, hit it off, and quickly became the hottest couple in America.
Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Bad Bunny and Chris Hemsworth are the co-chairs of the Met Gala 2024. Vogue’s Anna Wintour is also part of the committee.
Honorary chairs for the evening are Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew.
This year, the event is titled Sleeping Beauties: Fashion Awakening. The dress code is The Garden of Time.
The exhibit will feature approximately 250 items drawn from The Costume Institute’s permanent collection.
All pieces will be displayed using elements such as AI, GCI and more while playing land, sea and sky themes.
