The latest horror movie in theaters, Late Night with the Devil, has achieved a rare perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Cheap scares and caricatures notoriously fill the horror genre. However, a new American indie horror, Late Night with the Devil, is changing that.
Written by brothers Colin and Cameron Cairnes, the indie horror brings a new story following a talk show host in the US.
Released in theaters last Friday, the film combines independent cinematography and an absorbing plot to bring authenticity to an oversaturated genre.
The 100 percent rating is a rare feat. Currently, 49 critics have shared their opinions about the show and there isn’t a single negative word in sight.
The film’s impressive soundtrack, which has a number of stellar reviews, including those from renowned horror author Stephen King, has led one critic to state: “It deserves to become a cult classic.”

When Jack Delroy’s (played by David Dastmalchian) wife dies of lung cancer, ratings for his talk show ‘Night Owls’, a long-standing remedy for insomniacs in America, begin to decline.
In a desperate attempt to turn the ratings around, on October 31, 1977, Jack plans a Halloween special to attract his audience.
But with a series of different guests, the live television broadcast goes awry. The first guest, a psychic named Christou (played by Fayssal Bazzi), has a brief stint on the show after being forced out due to constant vomiting.
After his second guest, paranormal expert Carmichael (played by Ian Bliss), Jack welcomes a parapsychologist named June (played by Laura Gordon) and her teenage daughter Lily (played by Ingrid Torelli).
Ingrid is the only survivor of a recent cult hostage (a satanic church mass suicide) and, as a result, is supposedly possessed by a minor evil spirit, Mr. Wriggles, as Lily calls him, due to his ability to get into his head.
Things descend quickly from then on, and Jack unleashes horror in living rooms across America with a television tuned to Night Owls.
The film marks an important step in the career of David Dastmalchian, who stood out in his various supporting roles in Oppenheimer, Dune, the Dark Night and Prisoners.
Now, the 48-year-old has taken on a well-deserved starring role in the found footage horror film.
