Pathway launches on April 11th Steam and GOGnow publisher Chucklefisch has published the launch trailer. It shows you the basics of the story and the gameplay of the pixelated adventure strategy game. Because the German developer Robotality has a publisher on board, Pathway is not a real indie game, but it is all the more an indy like!
Because: fans of the old ones Indiana Jones title by LucasArts will feel comfortably transported back to days long past, when the desert sand still had square grains. And Indiana Jones’ nickname is Indy, so we couldn’t help but crack that stupid joke.
It’s hard to miss, Pathway wants to walk in the footsteps of the adventurous archaeologist. You command a squad of explorersunearthing buried treasure in a procedurally generated 1930s desert.
Where Indy serves as a source of ideas, Nazis can’t be far either: you overhear soldiers doing it, as they do from a powerful ancient weapon speak (did someone say Ark of the Covenant?). Now it’s up to your brave troops to find the artefact before the regime henchmen find it.
In the randomly generated levels you hunt for various treasures, fight enemies in turn-based battles, develop your characters and uncover over 400 different story events.
