Rock icon Jon Bon Jovi was seen on camera helping to persuade a woman to jump off the edge of a bridge in Nashville.
The Livin’ on a Prayer singer stopped to convince the unidentified woman to jump back over the railing of the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, the incident occurred Tuesday night while the 62-year-old man was filming a music video on the catwalk.
In the clip, which was shared by local police, Bon Jovi can be seen approaching the woman with a member of his entourage.

Officers responded to the scene, and Nashville Police Department Chief John Drake applauded the star’s actions, saying, “It’s necessary for all of us to help keep each other safe.”

However, he explained that the weakening of the star’s vocal cords was not due to an injury or any kind of illness, but simply to aging. “In the end, it catches up with us all.”
