Shocking images have emerged of a group of attackers beating a single mother in front of her son in a troubled inland city.
In the video, which was allegedly filmed a fortnight ago in the remote community of Nauiyu on the Northern Territory’s Daly River, 250 kilometers south of Darwin, even young women and teenagers broke down a door to reach their victim.
After the flimsy door came loose from its hinges, the indigenous woman inside received a series of brutal blows to the head from the first attacker before being attacked by a swarm of assailants.
The woman was savagely beaten before falling to the ground where she was helpless while her attackers He continued to trample and hit her.
She was heard screaming as her attackers punched and kicked her, as well as pulling her hair as she desperately tried to defend herself.
The woman’s young son is believed to have been present during the attack.

Darren Clark is an administrator for the group Action for Alice, which highlights issues in Alice Springs and the Northern Territory.
He said this type of chaos has become a normal part of life in the confines of the Top End.
“This violence happens far too often in remote communities,” he told Daily Mail Australia on Tuesday night.
“If this were in a regional center or a major city, there would be a national outcry, but all we find with this violence is absolute crickets.”

Locals said the brutal beating was in retaliation for a comment the woman made about a deceased man, according to The Australian.

Last Tuesday, Nauiyu was attacked by up to 25 people armed with shotguns, axes and crossbows. Four people were injured, including a child who was also shot with an arrow in the abdomen.
