In Sudden Strike 4 you command Soviet, German and Allied forces.
World War strategy games are apparently still pretty popular in 2023. After all, Company of Heroes 3 was just released, and Men of War 2 is also due out later in the year. If you can’t do anything with either game, or just want more strategy games, then you can grab a bargain in the Steam Sale right now.
This is Sudden Strike 4
Like Company of Heroes and similar titles, Sudden Strike 4 puts you in command of WWII units and vehicles in real-time battles. Like previous parts of the series, however, the focus is on the most realistic and demanding battles in which every soldier and clever tactics count. We also liked the high standards in the test:

At the moment the strategy game significantly reduced on Steam and available from as little as 5 euros. For just under 20 euros you get the complete package with all extensions. But even the main game alone is worthwhile for strategy fans.
This includes a major campaign for each of the three factions: Soviet Union, Germany, and the allied forces of the British and Americans. The 21 missions in total are long, but also varied and sometimes let us experience the same historical battles on different pages. They are divided into several intermediate goals that we have to fulfill one after the other.
Sudden Strike requires tactical action, because lost units are difficult to replace.
Also included is a multiplayer and skirmish mode, which isn’t the main focus of the game and only offers four maps, but can also be fun. The graphics from 2017 are no longer up to date, but Sudden Strike 4 is still impressive today. All in all, you get a convincing complete package for just five euros.
