Fans have once again criticized Major League Baseball and its jersey supplier, Fanatics, after Yankees pitcher Carlos Rodón sweated profusely through his uniform against the Astros on Friday night.

MLB has been under constant criticism over several details about its new jerseys since spring training, and league representatives said the problems would be fixed by opening day.

Instead of using Majestic to make jerseys, Nike, which designed and engineered the threads, turned to Fanatics for this season.

Major League Baseball Players Association CEO Tony Clark said last month that players’ concerns about the league’s new jerseys from Nike and Fanatics were being heard and that “work is underway to mitigate ” the situation.

Heading into the first weekend of the regular season, it’s unclear what progress the league has made on jerseys, as another glaring example of the drop in quality occurred.
