“ There was nothing more we could do to save Nikki … I’m broken, ” the reality star, who appeared next to Nikki in Big Brother in 2006, emotionally told her followers on Instagram in a lengthy post on Sunday.

She wrote: ‘I have no words. I miss talking to you every day. I miss your funny personality. I miss your impressions. I miss your tantrums. I MISS YOU. I am completely devastated.
‘My best friend … You were special and so beautiful. You were nice and funny. It went too far and I’m so sorry I couldn’t save you. We’ve all tried so hard. Now you’re gone too early. You had so much more to give.
‘You were incredibly strong. I take comfort in all those memories we’ve made, those epic vacations, those crazy day trippers just sitting at home listening to Old Skool music. I will cherish them forever.
‘My girls and I will love you and always remember you until we meet again. I’m sorry my angel. ‘

Imogen was among the group of supportive friends who raised £ 65.5k to pay Nikki to go to a specialist clinic for her illness.
The reality star was checked into a private hospital for professional care last month.
It is believed that the star, who rose to fame after appearing on the hit 2006 reality show series, was released from hospital in Devon a day before her death.

Nikki’s death was confirmed online by her boyfriend Leon Dee on Saturday.
A statement on the GoFundMe page read: ‘It is with great sadness that we have to let you know that our dear friend Nikki passed away in the early hours of Friday, April 9.
“It breaks our hearts to know that someone so dear has been taken from us at such a young age.

The statement continued: ‘Nikki has not only touched the lives of millions of people but her friends and family who will miss her immensely.

Leon added that all money raised in the GoFundMe will be donated to charity in memory of Nikki.
He wrote, “Funds will be held safely in this GoFundMe until we establish an organization that supports people with anorexia, to which we will make a donation in memory of Nikki.

Nikki was evicted on Day 58, but went back in after the remaining participants chose her to return.
