David Beckham is pictured sharing a punch with an Italian cop after the police officer reportedly questioned him about his children using jet skis.

The 46-year-old footballer looked relaxed as he chatted with officers on the docked ship and followed his children Cruz, 16, and Harper, 10, enjoying water sports in the sun.

David and the officers were said to have talked to each other for about 45 minutes, with police asking for selfies with the star during their conversation.

Cruz, who wore pink hair for a day out, was jet skiing before Harper joined later when the police boat reportedly pulled up.

In Italy you must be over 18 to operate a jet ski and hold a driver’s license.

The photos show David sunbathing on the yacht in bright red swim shorts before being called to speak to the officers.

A smaller police boat stopped beside the large yacht, and the crew of David’s ship also spoke to the Italians.

A witness told The sun: ‘The children are quite young. You are supposed to be 18 to jet ski in Italy, Cruz and Harper had just started jet skiing and five minutes later the police boat arrived.

“David was sunbathing and he immediately left the deck and went down to deal with it.

“Both Cruz and Harper were wearing life jackets and kept very close to the yacht, so it’s hard to see what the problem was.”

The source added that when the police arrived, David called the children back to the yacht and they anchored the jet skis.

The publication goes on to say that the group chatted “amicably” for just under an hour, with David at one point showing the agents’ documents.

MailOnline has reached out to a representative for David with a comment.

David shares children Cruz, Harper, Romeo, 18, and Brooklyn, 22, with wife Victoria, 47.

David’s holiday comes after news that he will present the trophy to the winning team at this year’s Soccer Aid for UNICEF on September 4 at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium in his senior role as a 16-year Goodwill Ambassador.

The star has also announced that the UNICEF partner the Children’s Investment Fund will match every donation at the event, doubling everything for charity, which could raise a total of £6.3 million.

He will reunite with his former teammates, Wayne Rooney, Gary Neville and Paul Scholes during the event.
