Donald Trump’s promotion of immigration hawk Stephen Miller is angering Democrats – and his own family – who oppose strict immigration policies.

Longtime Trump adviser Stephen Miller, the main mind behind Trump’s mass deportation plan, was recently tapped by the president-elect to be White House deputy chief of staff for policy.

Miller is expected to enact some of the strictest immigration reforms in US history after Trump blamed Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for allowing “21 million illegals to arrive from around the world.”

His return to the White House is scaring his uncle, Dr. David Glosser, a retired neuropsychologist and outspoken Trump critic.

He told DailyMail.com that Miller goes against the values that allowed their shared ancestors to find refuge in America more than a century ago.

Speaking exclusively to DailyMail.com, Glosser revealed his concerns about Miller’s role in carrying out Trump’s tough immigration agenda.

“Stephen is just an ambitious functionary of (Trump’s) dark impulse,” he said.

“I hope my lowest expectations are met,” Glosser said of his nephew’s recent promotion to a senior position in the White House.

Trump wants loyalty, and that’s exactly what Miller offers, Glosser said, adding that the Republican values devotion more than demonstrated good faith.

“Trump has casually commented that our constitution can be suspended and that he would be willing to exercise dictatorial powers,” Glosser told DailyMail.com.

“We can expect him to fill his cabinet and staff with those whose primary qualification is personal obedience to him rather than loyalty to the rule of law as outlined in our constitution.”

Glosser continued: ‘We all have to make moral decisions in life. How can we live together? Do we desire to dwell in light, fellowship, and hope or in darkness, hostility, and fear? Now we will find out. Stephen is nothing more than an ambitious dark impulse official.

Glosser is clearly not a fan of the president-elect and repeatedly lashed out at the Republican on DailyMail.com.

Their outrage follows criticism from CNN pundit Tara Setmayer, who called Miller a “despicable human being” moments after the election was announced.

“He is a despicable, racist and xenophobic human being, and his own family has disowned him,” he said, referring to his uncle.

Trump also tapped former ICE Director Tom Homan to be his new “border czar” as he ushers in a new era of strong border security.

Homan said his priority will be “to secure the border and carry out this deportation operation.”

“I think the call is clear,” Homan said on Fox & Friends. “I have to go back and help.”

“I’m pissed at what the (Biden) administration did with the most secure border of my lifetime, so I’m going to go back and do what I can to fix it,” he added.

The House Homeland Security Committee released immigration statistics dating back to when Biden first took office.

Since fiscal year 2021, more than 10.8 million migrants have been found, in addition to more than 2 million people who have escaped, the committee wrote.

Starting with the asylum applications used by immigrants to obtain interviews and then targeting the super gangs terrorizing American cities, the pair is defining who will be targeted for removal from the country.

After being sworn in on Jan. 20, President Donald Trump will immediately eliminate the CBP One Mobile app program, billed as the “legal way” for migrants at the southern border to request an asylum interview at a port of entry, according to sources close to Trump’s transition team.

The program handles 1,450 asylum requests per day along the entire border between the United States and Mexico.

“They are going to close the border immediately,” Rolando Vázquez, a regular immigration attorney for Mar-a-Lago and Miami, told DailyMail.com.

When it comes to his nephew, Glosser says political loyalty trumps family history.

“As for Stephen, he is a direct descendant of refugees from the Russian Empire ravaged by the pogroms of 1903-1906.”

“Over 70 members of our family who were denied entry to the United States between 1925 and 1940, due to their ethnicity/religion, due to the xenophobia of the ‘America First’ political faction of the time, were gassed or machine-gunned by the Nazi Einsatzgruppen in World War II,” Glosser continued.

His use of ‘America First’ is a direct play on Donald Trump’s use of the phrase during his first campaign and tenure in the White House.

The retired doctor has also written repeatedly about his nephew’s conservatism, including contributing to a book about Miller with the not-so-subtle title “Hatemonger.”

Trump has frequently touted his political agenda as ‘America First,’ and Miller eventually founded a nonprofit with the same name: America First Legal.

After Trump’s 2020 election loss, Miller stayed in DC and founded the conservative nonprofit America First Legal.

The group has assembled legal challenges to federal diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives, affirmative action and immigration policies, all important issues for Trump.

American First Legal filed a lawsuit against Target “regarding its radical LGBTQ political agenda.”

The group also filed a complaint against household goods supplier Williams-Sonoma for potentially violating equal employment opportunity rules.

Glosser says the rhetoric used by his nephew is similar to that used by the Nazis.

“The rhetoric of the murderers’ political masters had portrayed them as subhuman, criminal or even demonic elements that needed to be expelled, erased and eventually exterminated,” the retired doctor said.

“The same pattern of seeking power by exciting and exploiting racial anxieties and scapegoating in times of plague or economic or social upheaval has been a tragic element of human history since time immemorial.”
